LSU Wins Seventh National Title in Men's College World Series

Louisiana State University (LSU) defeated the University of Florida 8-4 in Game 3 of the 2023 Men's College World Series finals, securing their seventh national title.

After losing the first two games of the best-of-three series, LSU rallied back to win the decisive Game 3, showcasing their resilience and determination.

Senior first baseman Tre' Morgan led the LSU offense with a 3-for-4 performance, including a two-run homer in the third inning. Sophomore outfielder Josh Pearson also contributed two hits and two RBIs.

On the mound, LSU starter Ty Floyd pitched 5.2 innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits. Relief pitcher Paul Skenes then came in and earned the win, pitching 3.1 scoreless innings.

With this victory, LSU extends their record as the most successful team in the history of the Men's College World Series.
